Meet Maxim

Robust software starts with robust testing – meet our new Test Automation Engineer.

Maxim is a 26-year-old automation specialist from Belgium who helps teams build reliable, high-quality applications. He focuses on designing automated testing frameworks that ensure software behaves consistently and that releases happen with confidence.

 

A passion for testing

 

Maxim discovered his interest in software testing during his studies. What started as curiosity quickly grew into a passion project in which he built a testing framework for a friend’s website.

Not long after, he joined a web design company that builds websites for local businesses. He worked there for about 1.5 years as a test automation tester, gaining his first hands-on experience in building and maintaining tests.

Today, he continues to build on that expertise at Refleqt.

 

Automatisation with the right tools

 

Maxim has extensive experience building frontend testing frameworks with Playwright, a tool he values for its ease of use and active community.

He has also worked with Cypress and Selenium, giving him a strong understanding of different approaches to test automation.

For backend testing, he prefers working with Playwright and Postman, while continuing to explore new tools and technologies.

 

Structured and communicative

 

Maxim performs best in teams where open communication is central and continuous improvement is the standard.

Colleagues describe him as communicative and proactive. He asks the right questions and believes clear communication is essential for efficient collaboration.

Alongside the technical work, he also likes to look at processes and how they can be made more efficient. In this way, he helps teams focus on what really matters: delivering high-quality software.

 

Why Refleqt?

 

Before joining Refleqt full-time, Maxim completed an internship at the Valencia office.

That experience convinced him right away.

 

The team invested a lot of time in guidance, even though I was an intern. That supportive environment, combined with the interesting projects, made choosing Refleqt a very natural decision.

Outside of work

 

Outside of work, Maxim enjoys staying active at the gym and regularly goes on solo trips to meet new people.

He also has a strong interest in history and geography, and can easily lose track of time in Wikipedia deep dives.
